“Morose social gospel incisively documents the impermanence of a primarily nocturnal existence, Violetta Leigh’s melancholic short stories about being a Vancouver outsider are intricately crafted and seem to possess a writing-to-colour effect not dissimilar to chromesthesia, evoking inky rich moody hues.

Enthralling prose accurately depicts life after dark, consuming art and noise in sometimes altered states. A mercurial read, reminiscent of my own meanderings attending, curating, and playing shows in warehouses and diy venues; these short bursts of fiction follow the narrator on outings possibly seeking existential satiation, dappled with accounts of random encounters while striving to live free.”
